This Barilla Pasta recipe is one of my go-to dinner meals. I made it up one day, when I panicked after realizing I had forgotten to go to the grocery store, and didn't have any idea what to make for dinner that night. I didn’t want to go to the store. There was a little ground turkey leftover from a previous dinner recipe. And the vegetables in my refrigerator were looking pretty sad. This was a super fast wholesome meal I came up with, utilizing everything that needed to be eaten.
I feel there are a few staples that every fridge or pantry needs for quick dinner nights. Pasta, pasta sauce, veggies, and some sort of protein. You can mix just about any combo of those together and it turns into a pretty dang good meal! I always buy ground turkey, and love cooking with it. Its a lean meat, and is high in protein! I pulled out my Protein Plus Barilla Pasta with Barilla Marinara sauce to add to start on my dinner. I get my Barilla products from Walmart, one stop shop! I cook the pasta, while sautéing the ground turkey at the same time. (different pans of course) I add the veggies to my ground turkey, before adding the Barilla Marinara. For this meal, I added spinach and yellow squash! But really, any veggies you have around could easily work! Once the pasta is cooked through, I drain it and add it to my sauce. Protein Plus Barilla Pasta + Veggies + Protein
This meal is quick and easy, and is a wholesome meal your whole family will enjoy!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes

- 2 + 1/2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil, separated
- 2-3 cups Spinach
- Barilla Protein Plus Pasta
- 1 jar Barilla Marinara
- 16 oz. Ground turkey
- Salt & Pepper
- Parmesan to sprinkle on top
Follow directions on side of Protein Plus Barilla Pasta to cook to al dente.
After the pasta is cooked, drain the water, and put to the side.
Heat 2 teaspoons olive oil in a large skillet on medium high heat until it is simmering.
Add the ground turkey and let simmer, slowly stirring and separating the pieces.
Add Barilla Marinara sauce to the ground turkey and stir.
Add the Protein Plus Pasta to the Sauce.
Add in the spinach, set stove top to LOW, and cover pan with lid.
After 5 minutes, stir together, and serve immediately.
Add a sprinkle of parmesan on top. AND ENJOY!
