First let me say how shocked I am at how cold its been in Albuquerque. I expected a little bit warmer of a Fall, but that is severely not the case! Fortunately, I love the cold. I am from Utah, and snow and cold are a huge part of Fall & Winter! Plus with it being so cold here, It means I get to wear my Uggs even more, YAY! These Uggs can literally almost go with anything. I threw on a thick sweater (it hides my baby bump like crazy), and some comfy worn jeans, and completed the look with these Ugg Australia Kristin boots!! This pair is slimmer than the classic Ugg boot, but still just as comfy and cute! Rain or shine, warm or cold you will find these babies on my feet! Especially with nearing the end of my pregnancy, I need all the comfort I can possibly get on my swollen feet :)
Since being pregnant I have noticed the lack of places that actually sell 'Maternity Gowns'. There is however a place in London that makes the most stunning and elegant maternity gowns for any nicer occasion! Finally!!!!!!! This dress makes me feel so beautiful, and I just wish I had a gala or event to wear it at before the baby arrives! My photographer and I drove around central avenue in Albuquerque and ventured through old neighborhoods until we came across this mosque. It reminded both of us of London and we stopped to shoot :) I am also hosting a giveaway with Visible Interest for this pair of Cold War Earrings designed by Liz Law in LA.
- Brass bullets hang from Swarovski crystal ice dangle earrings
- Sterling silver jump rings and hook
- Approximately 1 and 7/8 inches long
- Retails at $70

Fall and Winter (especially Winter) mean it's time to bundle up, and there is no better way to bundle your feet up AND look stylish doing it other than wear some UGGS! Ugg Australia just came out with an awesome new selection of boots including these babies I'm wearing here :) They are so soft and fuzzy inside, but durable and cute on the outside...plus this chestnut color is my favorite!!!! Check out all of Uggs new styles HERE!!! Also.....they are the perfect Christmas gift for others or yourself!!! Nothing is cozier than sitting by the fire, cup of hot cocoa in hand, and a pair of comfy Uggs on your feet!!!!!!!!! You know that just SCREAMS Christmas! I also adore this AHMAZING Chandrah Bracelet from my collaboration with them via Shopping Links! It is the perfect finishing touch to any outfit!

This outfit honestly took me a bit out of my "pregnancy comfort zone"....This dress was a bit shorter than I normally wear and I NEVER, I mean NEVER wear knee length boots. But, I actually liked the way the whole outfit came together, although next time I'll pair this dress with some black tights :) I love Fall, you guys know that, but I also love winter as well. Mostly because of Christmas, but also because trench coats are my favorite!!!!!!!!! Like this one from Gentle Fawn its such high quality material, and really truly kept me warm...even in a short dress like this!!! (Lets face it, the dress wouldn't be so short if my belly weren't so huge lol). I'm sharing some of my favorite trench coat picks below, and they're all reasonably priced as well! And of course my outfit details are in the mix too! Enjoy!
Hi friends. Thought it would be cool to share with you my experience being pregnant up to now. Along with how I found out I was pregnant!! I want to write about my experiences not only as a sort of journal for myself, but also for all you other first time moms who may be going through the same things.
HOW I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT:
I got married November, 2014. My husband Colten and I had talked about when we wanted to start trying for a family, we both said we wanted to wait AT LEAST one year after getting married, then we would discuss it for real. Well, the first five months of our marriage flew by! Colten started a new job, and we had just moved from Utah to New Mexico. A couple months into living in NM, I got a terrible terrible kidney infection. I couldn't move, I couldn't eat, I felt shaky, nauseas, and wanted nothing more than to just lay down. Colten took me to the urgent care, and they had me pee into a cup, and test it, to make sure I really had a kidney infection. The dr. came back and told me I indeed had a kidney infection. She asked me if I was pregnant or nursing, because the antibiotic they usually prescribe for kidney infections is really strong, and can cause birth defects or miscarriage if your pregnant. I quickly responded NO! Colten looked at me, and then explained to the doctor that my period was three days late. The dr. explained that sometimes getting sick could push your period back a few days. I laughed, and again said "THERE IS NO WAY IM PREGNANT". I just wanted the dang medicine so that I could start feeling better! Colten again persisted that we didn't know for sure, and the dr. said she could use my pee (sorry if TMI) to take a pregnancy test real quickly. I told her that was fine, and when she left I laughed at my husband for thinking that I could possibly be pregnant. Moments later the dr. came back in and said "Congratulations, you're pregnant". WHAT??!!??!?! My heart dropped, and I literally started bawling my eyes out. I had no idea I would be leaving the urgent care with anything except a prescription. Honestly I am so happy that my husband felt inspired to have the dr. take a pregnancy test. I would hate it if anything were to have happened to my sweet baby due to my carelessness by not making sure I was pregnant or not. Anyway...we got back in the car after and just silently drove home. I wasn't scared or upset about it, but rather in complete shock!
The first trimester for me at first wasn't so bad. It wasn't until I hit about week 6 or 7 that I started feeling pretty nauseas. I can't complain to much about it though, because I know so many pregnant people are deathly ill in the first trimester (and throughout pregnancy). For me it was mostly the lack of ANYTHING sounding good to eat. I have always been a pretty healthy person, and suddenly instead of craving fruits and veggies---I was craving carbs and cheese! I remember going through the grocery store, and cringing because I wanted so badly to buy Mac N' Cheese. (I did buy it once, and I bought the Annies brand Mac n' Cheese so I didn't feel as guilty eating it...) The worst part about the first trimester wasn't even the nausea or the cravings...but instead the lack of interest in doing things that I normally loved. I was about 8 weeks when I noticed blood in my underwear. My husband was at work, and I called him hysterically crying worried I had a miscarriage. He came home as quick as possible, and we made an appointment to see the OBGYN the next day. Fortunately everything was fine, and we got to see our little baby bean for the first time! Thats when everything seemed so real. I also went through a period at the end of the first trimester and into my second, where I literally had zero desire to do anything except sleep or watch tv. I couldn't stand getting on social media, and the thought of blogging seriously made me feel sick! I was pretty depressed too, because Colten worked during the day, and I was lonely in a new state with no one! I didn't love going to the gym either, but I forced myself to continue going with my husband. It was hard finding energy to even get through a workout, and most of the time I just walked or jogged on the treadmill.
I had read that the second trimester was always the easiest! It was like the moment I hit the second trimester the feeling of being nauseas went away. I also had a lot more energy, but this time a growing baby bump :) I soon got my desire back to start blogging again and felt a lot happier about life in general. I think it helped that I got a fun Summer job working for Delta Air Lines, and had a reason to get up everyday. The Summer flew by, and week after week I could see my little belly growing. The only downside to the second trimester is that you are in the most awkward stage...You're not big enough to look 'pregnant' but not small enough to look fit....So it really just always looked like I ate way to much and had a full belly haha! My favorite part about the second trimester was finding out the gender of the baby! I fly down to Utah for all my OBGYN appointments because my husbands aunt is my dr. Plus my family is all there, and we plan on delivering in Utah. Anyway, Colten and I flew into UT, and my mom picked us up from the airport to take us straight to the appointment. The excitement I had to find out was overwhelming! I also, just wanted our baby to be healthy and growing!!! My aunt put the ultra sound machine on my belly, and started moving it around to find the baby. When she told us it was a girl, we both were so excited! I even saw Colten tear up a bit. Seeing an actual baby (not a jelly bean looking thing like my first ultra sound) was so exciting, and made everything that 'seemed' real, actually crazy insane REAL! We were having a girl, and I was so happy! At about 20 or so weeks I felt actual baby movements for the first time. I would just sit and watch my belly in awe, and loved every second of it. Nothing is cooler than the feeling of your baby inside you, and wondering what she is doing or what she looks like.
When I hit the third trimester, I suddenly started feeling super nervous to give birth. (still feel that way) I keep researching everything, and asking my aunt all sorts of questions pertaining to the actual delivery. I can't believe I'm 7 short weeks away from being called "mom". How crazy is that????? I feel the need to get everything planned, and research everything I may need! Still in the process of designing my nursery, packing my hospital bag, and planning out when I'll leave to Utah to stay for good before having my baby. I feel crazy ninja kicks every two seconds, and sometimes Ill get kicked so hard I want to cry. I have had my share of Braxton Hicks, and sleeping at night is the worst unless I have my pregnancy pillow (Which ill be doing a post on VERY soon btw). I have lots of energy though, and still enjoy going to the gym, and being active although its not as easy with a watermelon in my stomach. Just want to savor these last few weeks of it being just Colten and I before the baby comes.
Everyone needs to check out APeainthePodMaternity when they're pregnant. Everything they have, I WANT. These pants are from there, and don't even look anything like maternity pants which I like. They have such a great selection of clothing for mamas to be thats stylish and comfy! Also the black booties I'm wearing here are sold out, so i found a similar pair below...which I LOVE! I will probably buy that pair below, they're so cute! & this bag is Oliveve, and is currently on Shopbop, I love the leather and the color is my current Fall favorite.!!!! You guys also really need to check out Gentle Fawn....like seriously I want everything on their site. The cardigan I am wearing is from there, and I am seriously in love with the material and the quality of it! Perfect for FALL! I can't leave out this maternity top too. PinkBlush babes!!!! And its a great piece to wear with just about anything!
Being pregnant can be pretty uncomfortable. And I have found myself lately reaching for dresses in my closet rather than jeans or pants. They can be so much more comfortable, and easy to just slip on! I cam across a site with super casual comfy maternity dresses for half the price you would pay retail! This dress I'm wearing is SO comfy, and the material is soft and doesn't itch my belly. I know buying maternity can be frustrating because you're only wearing it for such a short time, but these are prices that won't make you break the bank! Below I added my outfit details, along with three of my favorite maternity dresses currently on BUMPGLOW.
Just recently went through my Fall wardrobe and realized I needed an update! Got some cute cozy sweaters, and comfy jeans and scarfs. I decided I would share a few of my favorites with all of you guys from Nordstrom all under $50 each! Even just one staple scarf or sweater can make all the difference and help you feel pretty this Fall! PS. ignore my hat....it would NOT stay down lol!

I decided to share with you all a couple things I enjoy doing for myself. These really aren't your typical "pampering" things. But rather small things that I enjoy, and relax me haha!
THINGS I DO FOR ME
1. I seriously LOVE Target and going there is always so much fun for me. I try and make sure I have enough time to browse and shop around without feeling rushed. I don't usually go looking for something specific, but rather just get whatever catches my eye! I almost always stop at Starbucks beforehand inside Target, and get my favorite drink, (Cool Lime Refresher) grab a cart and just wander around! I probably go through nearly every isle, trying on sweaters, looking at house decor, and OF COURSE stop by the baby section :) It's so relaxing for me to just shop around. Target isn't the only place I enjoy...I also enjoy doing the same at Marshalls, Ulta, Whole Foods, and any mall! Take time for you, leave the lists at home, and maybe even the kids :)
2. Getting my nails done is always so fun. I love going to the nail salon, and usually get Gel Polish done. It's not even necessarily my most favorite part at the salon, but rather the weeks after with my cute new nail color! I feel so much more put together throughout the week after I go, and like trying new colors and designs. Just like with Target, I like to make sure I have enough time at the salon so I don't feel like I'm on a time crunch...because that is NEVER relaxing.
3. Netflix binges! I am currently on season 6 of The Vampire Diaries, and I love watching 3 or more episodes in a row cuddled up in bed or the couch. This is especially my favorite on cold or rainy days. I make a fruit tray and just lounge!! This isn't something I get to do very often, and I used to feel guilty when I would because I usually have a lot of things to do at home. But, sometimes the dishes, laundry, and cooking CAN wait! You'll be happier after anyways too!
4. I love taking long showers, or warm baths! I go to Lush and buy a few of their bath bombs, and soak in the tub with them. I light candles, turn the lights off, and play music. it's so relaxing, and helps on my most stressful days and weeks. If I'm not in the bath, then I'm in a steaming hot shower! I will do the same thing by lighting a candle, and playing some music. Tell your husband/kids to leave you alone for 10-15 minutes and just RELAX!
5. Sometimes, I take myself to lunch or breakfast. Look up a cafe or restaurant you have never been to, or go to your favorite place. Order some yummy food, and eat in peace. I like eating outside if thats an option, and just hang out there eating and scrolling through my phone. Its nice to be alone sometimes, and of course like always not feel rushed by the clock. I also enjoy meeting friends for meals. It's so fun to catch up, and talk for hours and hours over a good meal. Every woman needs some alone time, and some time with their friends!
Now lets discuss this outfit. Its half maternity, and half not! These faux leather leggings are from ApeainthePod Maternity and I am literally obsessed. I wear them at least twice a week because they are so comfy and stylish, which is hard to find with maternity ANYTHING. This shirt dress is from Forever21, but is currently out of stock :( Cant wait to wear it after pregnancy as well! Also, these boots are AMAZING from Matt Bernson. I have been wanting Cheeta booties for a while, and I now have them!!! These will be my Fall favorites this season!

I've said it time and time again, I LOVE FALL. I love pumpkin patches, Halloween, colder weather, scarfs and hot cocoa--but what I don't love is getting my nice leather boots ruined from the rain and snow....Last year my husband bought me some really cute (& expensive) leather booties, they were so nice I was afraid to wear them outside!!!! Well not anymore, because this season I discovered Solemates weather proof boot and handbag protector, so I'm covered for whatever comes my way! Their products don't just protect leather, but also suede & fabric too.
Basically you spray your boots or bag 8-10 inches away! I sprayed my boots on my front porch so I didn't get any spray in my house! I let them dry overnight and BAMwore them the next day! I also love the Solemates shoe buffer! I used it on my husbands church shoes, and all my boots/heels so they're nice and shiny :) Click on the pictures below to shop my favorite SOLEMATES products!
FALL IS IN THE AIR BABES!!!! You have honestly no clue how happy that makes me! I just returned home from Maui, and the weather has been rainy and chilly, and all the leaves are changing colors. I even get excited to see Halloween decorations on peoples porches, and in stores :) Anyway, this post is dedicated to one of my favorite fall 'go-to' looks. You know early Fall is still a "To warm for a sweater, but to cold for shorts and a tank top" kind of time, so this look is perfect for that!
Get a simple below, or above the knee dress. Preferably plain colored, or striped like mine can work too! Then you need a plaid or flannel long sleeved top! Steal one from your husband or boyfriends closet, or if you have your own that is even better (and cuter I'm sure). Tie it around the smallest part of your waist! (I have to do mine a lot lower now with this growing bump!!!!) If you get too cold, you can easily just put it on, and that way it serves as a light jacket! Sharing this look, along with some other favorite dress/flannel combos at the end of this post, so SCROLL DOWN!)
While being pregnant I have barely worn heels....So taking these pictures in heels was a bit rough, but also worth it because it makes my legs look much longer! Anyway, I feel huge lately now that I am coming up on my 6 month mark, CRAZY!!!! The only reason I get dressed in the morning is because I have some super comfortable maternity pants, that actually fit and feel good. (Unlike my regular jeans) These skinny jeans are from A Pea in The Pod Maternity I highly recommend making them one of your go-to places to shop for any prenatal and maternity needs! Also, I got this comfy tee from Vintage Havana, its flowy and 'kind of' helps to hide my growing belly, but i can't wait to rock it after labor as well!
Now I need to start the packing process for my ten day trip to MAUI!!!!! YAY, I will be needing to start packing asap, because otherwise I will stress myself out trying to pack last minute. Love you guys, if you like what you see you can shop my look below!!!!
Hello, today I'll be sharing some super duper useful blogger tips & tricks I have learned along the way! Whether you're starting out new, or you're an experienced blogger-these will work for everyone.
1. Have an 'About Me' page that showcases who you are and what you do.
People like to feel connected to you as a blogger! Make your about me page personable, and it tells exactly why you're blogging! Also, change it up every so often so that it is up to date!
2. Take High Quality photos for your blog/social channels.
Posting photos taken by your iPhone don't look professional, and although you may be able to get away with it on Instagram, the photo quality will be apparent on your website. Invest in a nice camera, or find an awesome photographer in your area! I use a Canon Rebel t5i, and also have found some amazing photographers locally!
3. Keep a calendar to organize blog post dates and content.
When you're blogging, it's easy to feel stressed out about what to post about, or when to post it. Buy a calendar book (I got mine from Target) and keep track of when you want to post. This will help to eliminate the stress from blogging, and help to organize your content! PLANNING is everything!!!!
4. How to avoid running out of topics.
Feeling burnt out? And out of ideas? Browse other bloggers pages, and get ideas from their content! I like going on Pinterest, and finding interesting things to blog about! Also, maybe even go on a shopping spree, and blog about your new outfit with some cute pictures!
5. Learn to use photoshop!!!!
If you are taking your own photos, learn how to use photoshop to edit them and make them look fabulous! I promise you all of those popular bloggers and influencers out there use photoshop, thats why their pictures are so good and pretty!
6. Brand your social media.
Social media is the best way to get readers to your site! Make sure you're branding yourself well by being consistent with your posts. If you're always posting amazingly beautiful photos of hair, then don't randomly start posting photos of dogs. Random...I know, but it can be confusing for your followers and maybe even lead you to lose a couple.
7. Change your site up.
Don't let your website get outdated! Constantly fix, and change it up so it stays clean and relevant! Make sure it's easy for others to navigate as well!
8. Always be yourself!!!!!!
Blogging can be hard, and it's easy to compare yourself to others. Don't be cookie cutter and copy what everyone else is doing! Go your own way and be true to your brand! Post authentic content and make sure your voice in your writing is loud and clear!
Comment if you have any other questions for me about blogging below!
