This month has been a busy one, and it will just continue to get busier with the holidays approaching! I wanted to share a little life update today, because I feel like I haven't done one in quite some time!
We are currently living in Albuquerque, and have been here almost two years, how did that happen?? Feels like just yesterday, that we moved here! Life moves a lot slower here, which is nice, but can also be really hard. Albuquerque isn't a super urban/happening city, and it's hard finding different things to do here. It has definitely grown on us, but we are feeling ready to move on.
Colten is from Seattle, and the majority of his family is still living there (besides 1 sister)! We so badly want to move near family, and we have zero family here in ABQ. Although it truly has been nice just relying on each other for these two years, we want family! I'm from Utah, and all my family is still there. So settling in either Utah or Washington would be ideal for us!
About a few months ago, Colten discovered that he would be moving locations to Seattle, YAY! So we are thinking we will possibly be moving down to WA, in a few months! I am so excited for this transition, and am feeling so happy to be moving to a city with many more opportunities for my blog/and our overall life!
Although I don't absolutely love the idea of lots of rain, I am beyond obsessed with downtown Seattle, and the surrounding areas! The mix of green trees, ocean, and skyscrapers is the best combo. We don't exactly have a set date of when we will be moving, but I will keep you guys updated!
Since the move is has been on my mind, I have started to really simplify all of our stuff we have....including my clothes! Colten and I decided to get rid of a lot of things now, that we don't need/want to move with us! We want to slowly get rid of it all, so we're not doing it all right before we move!
I recently went through my closet, and just got rid of so many things that I didn't need! I kept super simple pieces, that can easily be paired together. That's why I love this outfit from Thacker NYC, they make high quality pieces that can be transitioned into many different looks! Here is a quote from their site,
"Tired of staring into an overstuffed closet and finding nothing to wear? Our debut collection is 100% about making your closet AMAZING. Beautifully crafted style essentials that are meant to mix, match, layer, and travel with ease. Modern cool. Clean lines. Great materials. Versatile classics that let you be you."
The black skirt I'm wearing goes with basically whatever top I am in the mood for, I paired it this Thacker grey sweater here...but yesterday I wore it to church with a checkered blue blouse! :) I prefer simplicity most days, and love solid colors to pair together! Check out my favorite Thacker NYC pieces below! :)
